Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Rogue Class Guide Tips Tricks

From WarhammerWorkshop

Ideally, players want to eliminate enemies as fast as possible, right? However, sometimes it's better to let the game do the work for them. Thanks to the Torturer Talent, players that inflict damage over time can increase the damage over time (DOT) of skills and surfaces for one t

Essentially, players who want a Pyrokinetic-focused character might want to start with the Wizard. They gain the Skills Searing Daggers, Ignition, and Fossil Strike (Geomancer) on the get-go - providing players with both melee and long-range fire options. The Pyrokinetic Skill Tree already boasts easily accessible Skills to characters as well - such as buffs (Haste, Peace of Mind), or a mean Fireb

Malady will transport the entire ship to the Hall of Echoes after around four or so turns complete. This means this strategy can be completed by stalling, avoiding damage, and healing. Place buffs on Malady like Armor of Frost, Fortify, Uncanny Evasion, and Living on the Edge as needed. One will notice that several of the enemies lack certain armor, making them vulnerable to different status effects. The bow and staff Silent Monks can be hit with physical effects like Knock Down and Atrophy; the sword Silent Monk and Weaponized Monks can be hit with magic status like Sleep, Frozen, and Petrify. The Gheists have both armor types, but less physical than magical. They are also the most deadly of the targets, so distract them and keep them away from Mal

**Divinity Original Sin 2 ** has received constant updates over the past three years. This started small with updates to crafting , and over time Larian Studios rolled out brand new free quests and high-level equipment . Among one of these "Gift Bag" updates, was Sourceror Secrets that introduced quality of life changes and even new abilities to help build characte

Aggression is key when playing a Pyrokinetic, with surround-based AOE Ignition and long-distance Searing Daggers (Pyrokinetic 1) easily providing decent combat options. More potent AOE Fireball and precise-targeting Laser Ray (Pyrokinetic 2) could make for reliable burst damage Skills while leveling up as w

The Cleric is an excellent addition to any party, with great personal survivability and magic to help their allies. They might not be the most deadly combatant, but will absolutely make many encounters triv

Because Divine Talents are off during character creation, players will normally have to wait until level 3 for their first Gift Bag talent. However, this can be bypassed by not spending your first talent point, and then distribute it once in the campaign. You can also turn on the Fort Joy Magic Mirror Gift Bag and rush to the arena in order to retr

As far as skill goes, the Scoundrel category offers a lot of diversity and a lot of mobility. On top of the starting skills of Adrenaline, Throwing Knife, and Backlash, some solid early picks for the Rogue are Gag Order and Rupture Tendons. These two work together to fill in what are some of the small gaps in the class; Gag Order allows magic users to be silenced, allowing the player to cut down on a primary source of ranged danger and level the field into a physical fight, while Rupture Tendons causes ongoing damage while the effected enemy moves, punishing any pursuit of the rogue. On top of this skill set, it can be helpful to grab a handful of skills from Huntsman, like First Aid and Tactical Retreat, to help bump up the Rogue's mobility that little bit furt

The second option is to kill all of the enemies, which rewards a nice account Achievement/Trophy. Focus all efforts on offense damage, protecting Malady enough that she doesn’t expire or finish her spell. As before, note that several of the enemies are missing an armor type, making them easier to kill if vitality is targeted direc

First, reallocate attributes for 3 Strength. You will be getting up close to the enemy, so aim to wear heavy armor, and wield a one-handed weapon and shield. With this setup you’ll have access to the Shields Up skill to regain lost armor. Stack your Civil Ability point onto your natural racial bonus - Persuasion for Lizards, Stealth for Dwarves, etc. Restoration will be your primary skill, as it heals vitality over a few turns. If the target is Undead, it will instead deal damage. Armor of Frost will be used to repair Magical armor. For the third skill go with either Mosquito Swarm or replace the Necromancer point with Warfare for Bouncing Shie

That customization is key even when working within the SLG game guide's prebuilt character classes. While it is truly a mix-and-match system, there are ways to maximize abilities to fit an archetype, filling out a valuable role in the party. For some, the best place is on the front lines as an armor-clad knight, for others the back lines as a spell-slinging sorcerer. Some, though, prefer to mix it up, to strike from the shadows, and leap back into the dark as soon as the damage is done, keeping the enemy ever on their toes. This is the art of the rogue, the stealthy, sharp striker class that excels at both damage dealing and unmatched mobility. This guide aims to help players create their perfect backstabber, giving the tips and tricks for playing a rogue in Divinity: Original Sin
