One of the draws of Frontiers of Pandora will undoubtedly be flying through Pandora on the back of one of the flying beasts named Toruk. From the Hallelujah Mountains to the various Na’vi settlements to the RDA colonies scattered around the world, there are many different large areas that could be turned into discoverable regions. However, transportation like the Toruk could be locked either behind high XP levels or through microtransacti

There are many ways that Ubisoft could make players pay for progression through the game. Even with the game focusing on the Na’vi people and the natural landscape of Pandora, Frontiers of Pandora can monetize cosmetics as well as the general progression through the game. From costumes to fast travel to creatures, the new Avatar game could give players plenty of opportunities to spend real mo

The prime example is the Hallelujah Mountains, featured in the Avatar film . The Hallelujah Mountains are essentially just floating mountains, but that's oversimplifying it. The mountains are suspended by a powerful magnetic current and slowly rotate, occasionally crashing into each other and creating large deposits of Unobtanium. The mountains are sometimes shrouded in mist because of the abundant waterfalls cascading off of the cli

In addition to showing the human settlement on Pandora and its rapid expansion during the film, it is also explained why Earth's government agencies are so interested in the planet. The Earth will soon be uninhabitable and humanity will need a new place to settle. Although the game is named after the planet Pandora, it would be interesting to take a look at the state of Earth in the Avatar franchise during the time period in which it is set. The game could offer some sympathy for humans looking for a new home, or highlight new ways that humanity might devastate its home pla

However, it too had a noticeable drawback, and that was a lack of general combat encounters. Across those four main missions we completed, assaulting that base was the only time we ever really drew a bow or a gun for combat purposes. We could hunt a few creatures while exploring Pandora, but that was using a bow to get good shots similar to how Assassin's Creed 3 handles hunting . Even looting the animal leads to the main character saying a few words in commemoration and thanks. Yet, we only encountered one very small and short combat encounter when exploring the world, leading to it feeling like there's a lot of downtime and not allowing the combat to live up to its sheer potential. It could be the full game is different, but this sequence of missions and areas did lean more heavily into exploration than its com

This Avatar game will showcase the new area of the Western Frontier of Pandora, as the second movie revealed the Metkayina Clan's Eastern Sea home of the Reefs. It doesn't look like you'll be able to visit the stunning ocean of the Mekayina, but the Western Frontier has many beautiful locations of its own in st

The Ubisoft Forward event showed off six minutes of gameplay and cutscenes from Frontiers of Pandora with narration from the game's director, and many new details emerged in that short clip alone. There was exciting combat, new area reveals, systems and mechanics, and much more to be discus

Although the game can learn a lot from the movie, STALKER 2 it should not be limited to that either. Often, movie tie-in games are overly attached to the story of the film without bringing anything new to the table, and are quickly forgotten. In recent years, these games have seemingly fallen out of fashion, with more tie-in games being sequels, prequels or franchise-related rather than straight retellings of the same story. Frontiers of Pandora seems to belong to the latter category, but it can still borrow ideas from The Way of Wa

While DLC is often still sold separately, they often crowd the microtransaction storefront. Entire sections of Pandora could be held back to be released later at a higher price. Although the game will likely ship with lots of the planet’s signature foliage and landscapes, Ubisoft hasn’t revealed any specific tie-ins to the sequel’s vast oceans and sea l

Avatar: The Way of Water , the long-awaited sequel by the director James Cameron, has been a huge success. So far, it's the third highest-grossing film in history, surpassed only by Avengers: Endgame and Avatar itself. The tremendous reception of the film may serve the next video game in the franchise , Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora , still in development, as a source of momentum following the renewed interest in the s

One of the most prominent elements included in Avatar: The Way of Water is the existence of tribes other than the forest Na'vi from the first movie . The sequel introduces the oceanic Na'vi after Jake Sully and his family are forced to run away. They are taken in by this new community and learn their ways in an attempt to go unnoti
