Ferren Barr is one of the Jedi survivors of Order 66 explored in Marvel Comics. He was a padawan at the time of the attack and managed to escape. He is one of the few people in the galaxy who learn who Darth Vader truly is. After hacking into the Imperial defense network, he finds out the truth about Anakin Skywalker and organizes a small army of followers to lead an attack on Vader and the Empire. Unfortunately, his mission ends in failure and with his death at hands of the powerful Sith L

The Bad Batch continues the story of the elite Clone Force 99 from the last season of The Clone Wars into the Age of the Empire. It also adds to the larger narrative of a galaxy far, far away from providing a new perspective on one of its biggest events: Order 66. In the first episode, fans witness the squad's role in the survival of a key Jedi from the s

After Osmund Saddler, a mysterious bio-weapons research expert, shows up in Spain and revives the cult in Resident Evil 4 , he convinces the the 8th Castellan to give him access to the caves hosting the parasite creatures known as the Las Plagas, which he uses to infect the cultists. However, little is known about Osmund Saddlers background or history in Resident Evil's bio-weapons industry , or how he was drawn to Spain in the first place. This gives Capcom potentially plenty of drawing room to hopefully fit him into the Resident Evil timeline with more defining contr

I’ll likely write an article defending Breath of the Wild’s use of flashbacks one of these days, but for now I want to focus on the sequel and how it should do away with them. The first game’s ending sees us return to the present day, with Link and Zelda embarking on another trip across the land to reunite with friends and mourn the loss of their loved ones. Things are returning to normality, at least until another threat emerges in Breath of the Wild 2 and once again throws everything into disarray. So when Calamity Ganon (or whoever is in that spooky cave) rears its head once again, I want the narrative that follows to take full advantage of the present day.

That said, why actually bother? Umbrella’s downfall happens in a spin-off game and not even Capcom was all that interested in telling this story. By _ Code Veronica _ , it’s clear the series wanted to move on from Umbrella. Come _ Resident Evil 5 _ , Wesker’s more or less taken over as the face of the antagonists. Keeping in mind how much extra focus antagonists like Birkin and Nikolai were given in their remakes, it’s perhaps safe to assume that _ RE _ wants a face for their villains, not just a societal concept. It’s a bit disappointing considering how critical _ Resident Evil _ is of big pharma and capitalism, otherw

This train of thought originates from the remake of Resident Evil 3, which was a painfully underwhelming successor to the phenomenal remake of Resident Evil 2. The latter was one of Capcom’s best games in years, ushering in a new era of survival horror Nightreign sales brilliance that I was confident it would build upon. With the arrival of Resident Evil 3 and Village, it seems it is opting for an action-oriented approach that won’t risk alienating those who aren’t willing to negotiate with horror. It’s the smart move, but creatively, it feels like a hollow one. Resident Evil is at its weakest when the action ramps up, giving way to adequate gunplay instead of allowing its atmosphere and monsters to do the heavy lift

While there are a lot of questions that need to be answered, overall, it does not require Capcom to drastically change Resident Evil 4's storyline if a Remake is being produced. If anything, it allows Capcom to keep everything intact that was originally included in the Resident Evil 4 storyline and merely add more depth to the story already in place. Even before Capcom made these revelations about the Nemesis' link to Resident Evil 4 , there were still hardcore fans out there who speculated the possibility that the Nemesis parasite could be linked to the Las Plagas parasites in Resident Evil 4 , given the rather shallow amount of information available on the background of the Nemesis paras

Another Jedi who runs afoul of Darth Vader during his quest to hunt down the survivors is Jocasta Nu. The librarian of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant is first seen in Attack Of The Clones . In the Darth Vader series from Marvel Comics, fans discover that she survived Order 66 and is on the

The Bad Batch opens with the end of the Jedi in the waning moments of the Clone Wars. It also provides a very different take on a scene from canon Star Wars comics : the escape of Caleb Dume from the clones. Caleb Dume and his master Depa Bilaba are fighting on the planet Kaller against Separatist forces when the Bad Batch comes in to lend a hand. Right as the fighting winds down, Order 66 is given. Dume goes on to be Kanan Jarrus, a major figure in the early Rebellion and one of the lead characters in Star Wars: Rebe
